Sapporo Yuki No Matsuri (Snow Festival)
This past weekend we traveled to the northern island of Japan, Hokkaido to see the famous Snow Festival. It was definitely worth the visit! The snow and ice sculptures were amazing!!! Saturday, we went to a park called Satoland which was a little overcrowded, but we managed to go in the labrynth and on a boat ride pulled by a snowmobile. We also traveled to a small port city called Otaru where there was another snow festival. Otaru was so romantic as we walked down the canal and saw all of the illuminations in the snow. What a great weekend!
